EGS system is a highly integrated engine control scheme.

Woodward EGS system is powerful, which integrates ignition control, air-fuel ratio control and speed regulation, and also includes diagnostic functions such as knock monitoring, misfire monitoring and other state monitoring.

This highly integrated control system enables high-precision speed regulation and air-fuel ratio control to be realized under the condition of wide fluctuation of fuel quality.

EGS system has two different lean-burn closed-loop algorithms:

Gas quality closed-loop control (GQCL) (patent: us 5657732/EP 0727574b1)-engine efficiency and generator power detection, thus omitting oxygen sensor. According to this, EGS system accurately calculates the fuel demand under the specified emission.

Then the EGS system gives instructions to the TecJet™ fuel control valve to supply the optimal fuel demand for the engine. This working mode can achieve the lowest fuel consumption without engine knocking or fire.

UEGO closed-loop control-detection of oxygen content in exhaust gas. At this time, EGS system works in standard air-fuel ratio controller mode.

The EGS system covers a full range of Woodward gas engine subsystems:

16 mm~180 mm integrated throttle ITB.

Three different specifications of TecJet™ fuel control valves to meet different requirements.

EGS system can easily control ignition timing and ignition energy, and the ignition energy can be as high as 360 mJ, thus ensuring stable combustion.

Integrated engine condition monitoring and diagnosis functions to ensure the normal operation of the engine.
