LS-5 series is a synchronizer and load distribution controller with integrated protection function, which is specially designed for complex power management applications equipped with easYgen-3400/3500 generator set controller, and can manage multiple incoming main switches and bus circuit breakers. The equipment CAN control synchronization, loading and unloading on each bus section, and send the required voltage and frequency reference values to easYgen-3400/3500 through CAN bus. LS-5 equipment installed on the incoming main switch will automatically detect the power grid fault and start the corresponding generator set. Because all LS-5 and easYgen-3400/3500 only need one CAN bus connection, the wiring work is greatly reduced, and there is no need to connect AC measurement signals or discrete input/output. LS-5 can realize remote control through discrete input or interface, which is convenient for integration. Backboard-mounted LS-521 adopts a sturdy aluminum chassis, which is suitable for harsh environments. Its network can run up to 16 LS-5 units and 32 easYgen-3400/3500 units, supporting phase matching or sliding frequency synchronization, voltage matching, comprehensive protection function, subsection control of load distribution, up to 300 event logs, automatic date and time synchronization, and independent mode without easYgen-3400/3500. In addition, it also provides pre-configuration application mode, automatic/manual mode, CAN or RS-485 remote control, transformer vector group adjustment, circuit breaker fault detection, power grid disconnection test mode, multilingual support and keyboard locking function.

The LS-5 Series are synchronizer and load share controllers with integrated protective functions. They are designed to enable complex power management applications with multiple incoming mains and bus breakers in combination with easYgen-3400/3500 equipped genset controllers. The LS-5 devices will manage synchronization, loading and unloading on each bus segment and send the required voltage and frequency references via CAN bus to the easYgen-3400/3500 genset controllers. LS-5 devices which are located on the incoming mains breakers will automatically detect mains failures and start the corresponding gensets accordingly. Wiring efforts are reduced to a minimum, since only one CAN bus connection is required between all LS-5 and easYgen-3400/3500 controllers. It is not required to wire any AC measurement signals or discrete inputs/outputs between the LS-5 and easYgen-3400/3500 controllers.

Extensive remote control capabilities via discrete inputs or interfaces are provided to easily integrate the LS-5 into each application environment. The back panel mounted LS-521 has a rugged aluminum chassis for use in harsh environments or confined spaces.
