The Woodward 9903-060 EG-A Governor/Actuator is a high-performance integrated electro-hydraulic speed-governing unit derived from the classic PG-EG series (PGA-EG, PGG-EG, PGM-EG) of hydraulic governor systems, combining precise electronic control with reliable hydro-mechanical backup.
This EG-A actuator accepts a standard 0–200mA analog control signal from Woodward digital speed controllers, converting electrical signals into proportional rotary hydraulic output to adjust the engine fuel rack for accurate speed and load regulation in diesel engines, gas engines, and turbines. With an optional Mode Select Valve, it supports PG mechanical mode and EG electronic mode switching via electric, pneumatic, or manual operation; when the electronic signal fails, the built-in ballhead hydraulic governor takes over control to avoid engine runaway and meet safety requirements.
