Woodward 307-2546-12V Fuel Solenoid Valve | SA-1832-24NJ Special Oil Cut-off Valve for Original Quality Generator Set

information

SA-1832-24NJ is an electric fuel valve with an onboard electronic position controller. The valve is designed to receive command signals and then accurately

Position the spherical fuel metering element so that the effective area of the port is proportional to the flow rate. The metering element is designed to be generated by a spherical element and a slipper.

Shear to promote self-cleaning. Position feedback can be achieved by using a resolver (the dual resolver option is not available in this configuration).

The resolver is directly coupled to the fuel metering element, thus eliminating the need for couplers or gear trains and their related errors.

Connection of SA-1832-24NJ

Grounding is provided by a grounding plate on the housing.

Power supply voltage measured on valve SA-1832-24NJ is 18–32 VDC.

Analog input 4–20 Ma position command signal

Location, status and restriction configuration of DeviceNet/CANopen in CAN network

Analog output 4–20 Ma is proportional to the valve position.

Stop input relay or dry contact input for valve stop/reset.

State output solid-state relay output, used for shutdown status display.

fix

The SA-1832-24NJ valve is designed to operate in the temperature range of–40 to+93 C (–40 to+200 F), and the gas fuel flow temperature is

40 to+93 C (–40 to+200 F).

Offboard (OBVD) exhaust port is a vent between dual redundant shaft seals. It must be connected to fuel connection, purging and exhaust through rigid steel pipes.

Or shut down the system to avoid the danger of blockage, physical damage or back pressure exceeding 69 kPa(10 psig).

Install GS16 on a flat plate with 0.375-size bolts, or use 2.0-inch (50.8 mm) ANSI flange to mount directly to the pipeline.

Systematically. Consider the strength of the mounting plate or piping system to support the 48 kg(105 lb) weight of GS16.

If it is installed on a flat plate, please keep the mounting plate in correct alignment with the pipe flange to prevent the restrained load on the GS16 main body.

Woodward designed the installation interface of SA-1832-24NJ, which only supports the weight of the valve itself. Failure to properly support components (pipes,

Valves, etc.) may cause restraint load on the main body of SA-1832-24NJ, and may adversely affect the valve performance.

Dimensions should be:

A straight pipe shall be at least 18 nominal pipe diameter (36.0 inches/915mm) [it can be reduced to 8 nominal pipe diameter (16 inches/407mm) if straightening blades are used].

B 2 Nominal straight pipe diameter (4.0 inches /102 mm)

C 6 nominal straight pipe diameter (12.0 inches /305 mm)

D The nominal pipe diameter of straight pipe shall be at least 1 (2.0 inches /51 mm).

Connect the GS16 valve to the engine control system through the main terminal connector. The field wiring of power input of SA-1832-24NJ valve must be at least suitable.

For 103 c.

The currently designed SA-1832-24NJ valve has two "NPT conduit inlets". If the inlet is not used for wiring, it must be blocked when installing the valve.

Plug. For valves installed in dangerous places, unused conduit inlets must be plugged with certified stop plugs. Use a plug with a suitable size for the inlet of "–14 NPT conduit to meet the environmental temperature range of the product.

Class I, Division 1 and Zone 1 hazardous areas require plugs to have specific certification. In North America, plugs must be certified or listed and can

Used in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and d groups. For European installations, certified Zone 1, Category 2,

Ex d plug of Group II G Ex d IIB. Please follow the installation instructions of all manufacturers to ensure that the plug is properly installed and meets the requirements of hazardous areas.

Beg. Redapt Ltd part number PD-U-3-0-30-00 can be used for installation in north America, while Redapt Ltd part number PA-D-3-0-30-00 can be used in Europe.

Installation.

For valves installed in the area of Class I, Division 2 or Zone 2, the stop plug must meet the installation requirements with jurisdiction. with regard to

For the European Zone 2 device, the plug must provide the minimum protection level of IP66, and it can only be removed with tools. Make sure that it is screwed correctly during installation.

Tighten all plugs or glands.

The use of cable glands or plugs that do not meet the requirements of hazardous area certification or thread form or thread size will make the valve unsuitable for dangerous places.

Damage to the sealing surface may lead to moisture ingress, fire or explosion. If necessary, clean the surface with external alcohol. Check the cover and actuator connector.

Whether the surface is damaged or contaminated.

The terminals are spring-loaded and can accept wire sizes of 0.08 to 3.0 mm²(28 to 12 AWG). For power inputs (+) and

(–), the recommended conductor size is 3.0 mm² (12 AWG), and for other signals, the recommended conductor size is 1.0 mm² (16.

AWG)。 For wiring requirements of SA-1832-24NJ, please refer to Figures 2-3 and 2-4 and the following instructions.

Use terminal blocks on all GS16 valves. These terminals are top-loaded, cage-clip-type, by inserting DIN 5264 screwdriver.

The opening behind the trunking is used for driving. After opening the cage clip, you can insert the wire and remove the screwdriver. Please refer to the following illustrations and descriptions:

Insert the screwdriver into the operating slot until it stops.

The screwdriver blade automatically keeps the clamping spring open to introduce the conductor into the clamping unit.

Pull out the screwdriver and the conductor will automatically clamp.

shielding line

All shielded cables must be twisted pair. Do not attempt to tin (weld) the braided shield. Shielding all signal lines to prevent interference from neighboring devices.

Pick up stray signals. Connect the shield to the correct pin on the driver connector or wiring specified in the wiring diagram. Do not connect the mask to the execution.

The device is grounded. The wires exposed outside the shielding layer should be as short as possible, not exceeding 50 mm (2 inches). Keep the other end of the shield open and connected to any

Any other conductor insulation. Do not run the shielded signal wire with other wires carrying large current. If it is necessary to shield the cable, please cut the cable.

Cut to the required length and prepare the cable according to the following instructions:

Peel off the outer insulation layer from both ends to expose the braided or spirally wrapped shielding layer. Don't cut the shield.

Carefully spread the shielded hair with a sharp tool.

Pull the inner conductor out of the shield. If the shield is woven, please twist it to prevent wear.

Remove 6 mm (1/4 inch) insulation from the inner conductor. When wiring the system, consider the shield as a separate circuit. Constantly put the screen

The shielding layer passes through the connector.

Installation with severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) may require additional shielding precautions. Contact Woodward for more information.

Failure to provide shielding may lead to future situations that are difficult to diagnose. Proper shielding is required during installation to ensure the good operation of GS16 fuel metering system.

Ok.

supply voltage

Terminals 15 and/or 16 = supply voltage (+)

Terminal 13 and/or 14 = supply voltage (–)

The supply voltage during normal operation must be 18 to 32 V, measured at the GS16 valve connector. The input current is usually less than 2.0 A, but it is instantaneous

The peak current can reach 12 a. The recommended power cable size is 3.0 mm² (12 AWG). Power input (+) and power input (–)

Two terminals are provided each. This allows the connection of two parallel power cables, each 3.0 mm² (12 AWG), to reduce the power wiring.

Line loss of. The power line loss will adversely affect the dynamic performance of GS16 under the conditions of minimum power supply voltage, high temperature and long line length.

Ring. Each GS16 valve shall have a dedicated power line. Power supply should not be daisy-chained between valves. Fuse the power supply wiring to

Outside the valve. It is recommended to use slow-melting 10 A fuse. If parallel power lines are used, each power line must be fused and at a common point.

Install a 10 A fuse.
