Alstom LC 110-m2: C10/120-m2 excitation control system limit module
ALSTOM LC110-M2 is a limit module and an excitation fault detection board for the C10/120-M2 excitation control system. This module undertakes the functions of monitoring excitation limits and fault detection in the generator excitation control architecture, instead of the general PLC processor or AC input module. As a discontinued legacy product, LC110-M2 is currently only supplied in the form of New Surplus or refurbished through industrial spare parts channels.

In the C10/120-M2 excitation control platform, LC110-M2 is responsible for monitoring excitation-related working conditions and executing limit protection logic. Its core function is to impose boundary restrictions on parameters such as excitation current and voltage during the operation of the automatic voltage regulator (AVR), so as to prevent over-excitation or under-excitation from harming the stability of generators and power grids. The module is not a hot-swappable component, so it needs to be powered off when it is replaced, and the original rack position and wiring layout should be recorded.
